果樹は、隣接するマスにプレイヤーが置いたアイテムが無い限り、温室の外周領域のどこにでも植えることができます。温室の壁や栽培スペースの木の縁取りは、果樹の成長を妨げません。温室の隅のマスも、壁が斜めになっていて半分しか地面のスペースがないように見えますが、果樹を植えることができますし、成長を妨げません。
木の縁取りの隣に果樹を植えることで、壁沿いの装飾品の上に重なって植えるのを避けられます。このタイプの構成では、温室内に18本の果樹を育てることができます。最適な配置の一例を以下の画像に示します。左側の2つのスプリンクラーは、隣接する果樹が完全に成長するまで置かないよう注意してください。

果樹を壁沿いに植えることで、成長中のスプリンクラーの配置について悩む必要がなくなります。北の隅から中央の水桶に向かって、できるだけ詰めて植えていくと、計6本の果樹を北側に植えられます。南側も同じようにしてもう6本植えます。そして東と西の空いているところにそれぞれ4本ずつ植え、合計で20本になります。

隅っこを除いて、温室の南側には果樹を植えないほうが望ましいと思うかもしれません。完全に成長した状態では、ドアの近くにある木によって視界が遮られ栽培スペースの一部が直接見えなくなります（プレイヤーがその木の裏に移動すれば透かして見ることはできますが）。したがって視界が全く遮られずに植えられる最大の数は16本になりますが、ドアに一番近い木だけを取り除くと18本になり、遮られる領域も栽培スペースの隅の僅かなエリアだけで済みます。
