Weeds are wild plants which are spawned randomly and may spread if not cleared. Weeds have a 50% chance to drop 1 Fiber when cut with a Scythe, Axe, Pickaxe, or Sword.

Spawning and spread

Weeds don't spawn above-ground in Winter, but in any other season will appear randomly on the farm and in the mines. This is most common when when the season changes, but may occur later in the season. They also spawn in specific areas of Pelican Town and Cindersap Forest for the first several days of the game, but not thereafter. Weeds don't spawn on tiles that are already occupied by buildings, equipment, fences, or closed gates.

If weeds aren't cleared, they may multiply and spread. Weeds may spread to a tile occupied by a floor or path, which will destroy the path tile.

Any weeds above ground disappear in Winter.

バグ

A 'Weeds' item can be obtained by breaking a seed dropped by a mushroom tree with a tool. The item can then be placed on the ground and harvested to obtain fiber, or sold through the shipping box for data-sort-value="50">50g. Gifting this item is possible, but all villagers hate it. Like artifact spots, weeds aren't meant to be obtainable as items.
