Rice Shoots can be purchased  at [[ピエール商店|Pierre's General Store]] starting in year 2, from the Magic Shop Boat at the [[夜の市|Night Market]] on Winter 15 (starting in year 2), and occasionally from the [[行商人のカート|Traveling Cart]]. They can also be obtained in [[釣り#宝箱|Fishing Treasure Chests]], [[発掘ポイント|Artifact Spot]]s,  by using the [[タネ製造マシン|Seed Maker]], or as a drop from monsters in the [[鉱山|Mines]].

稲芽は[[ピエール商店]]で２年目以降商品に並ぶようになりますが、[[夜の市]]のマジックショップボート(２年目以降、15日限定)や、時には[[行商人のカート]]でも売られています。 また、[[釣り#宝箱|釣りで手に入る宝箱]]や、[[発掘ポイント]]からも出てくることがあります。他、玄米を[[タネ製造マシン]]にかけることでも入手できますし、[[鉱山]]のモンスターからドロップすることもあります。

Rice Shoots planted in most farm tiles take 8 days to mature with watering each day, as with other crops. However, Rice Shoots planted within 3 tiles of a [[農場の池|Farm Pond]] in any direction are considered to be irrigated, as in a rice paddy. Paddies need not be continuous with each other or adjacent to a pond in order to count as irrigated. Irrigated Rice Shoots take only 6 days to mature and do not require watering.

他の作物と同様で、毎日水を欠かすことなく一般の土壌で育てた場合、稲芽は収穫できるようになるまでに８日かかるでしょう。なお、[[農場の池]]から方向問わず3タイル以内のエリアに植えた場合、水田のようにかんがいをしているとして特殊な処理がなされます。水田として判定されるために、稻芽を連続的に並べて植えたり、隣り合わせて植える必要はありません。かんがい栽培であれば、稲芽は水やりをせずとも6日で収穫できます。

When harvested, each Rice Shoot gives one Unmilled Rice, with a 10% chance to produce an extra Unmilled Rice. At [[農業|Farming]] skill 10, there is an additional 50% chance of another Unmilled Rice. As of {{version|1.4}} Rice Shoot is the only crop to be affected by Farming skill in this way.
